Aeziah had a strong day at Mallory Park Circuit over the weekend at East Midland Racing Association (EMRA) round 3. He made good progress on the bike and felt that he was becoming more familiar with the bike.
In the GP 80-450 class, the setup wasn’t quite right for the first session of the day (qualifying) but he progressively getting faster and more comfortable. He qualified P9. The team bled and adjusted the front brakes for race 1. He had a strong start and held his own with the sports bikes. He ended in P11 (P5 in the GP 125-450 category).
Aeziah and his teammate started race 2 from the back of the grid after not getting out in time. Aeziah started P29 so it was the perfect session to make lots of passes and get comfortable pushing forward through the group. His best time was a 59.528, less than 2 seconds off the leader’s best lap. The race ended with him in P11.
In the Open 500 class, the riders were a lot faster and on more powerful bikes so it was quite hard to stick with them. Nevertheless, he continued to push and qualified in P13.
The final race started great for Aeziah. He was behind the leading group in 6th and hit another 58-second lap by lap 2. Unfortunately, he was carrying too much speed around turn 1 and lost the front at high speed on the exit, ending his race prematurely.
