Qualifying on Saturday was tough for Aeziah. Although he was consistent, a few mistakes in other areas of the track meant he wasn’t able to put a fast lap together in the end, qualifying P23 out of 26.
In Race 1, Aeziah had some great battles, pushing ahead and making up positions in the opening laps to finish in P21.
Race 2 went well with a strong start that moved him up a few spots. However, a few laps in, both Aeziah and another rider were pushed back when a competitor in their group cut the chicane and forced them wide. As a result, they lost touch with the group ahead. Despite the setback, Aeziah clocked his personal best lap of the weekend, setting a mid-1:42 and finishing P17.
Overall, he was really happy with the weekend. There’s still a lot to improve on, but he and the team are confident in the areas to focus on and are determined to keep pushing forward.
A big thanks to the entire Fibre Tec Honda by MLav Racing team, especially Joe, Jordan, and Aaron, for all their help and support throughout the weekend!
