Aeziah concluded his weekend at the R&G British Talent Cup with two determined rides at the iconic TT Circuit Assen, once again showing resilience in tough conditions.
Lining up 18th on the grid for Race 1, Aeziah was focused on pushing forward but was caught up in an early incident. “We had some good battles throughout the race, but I tried to stay at the front of the group to catch the next set of riders,”he explained. “Unfortunately the chance to catch those ahead ended when it started raining and a red flag brought an early end to the race with me in 16th place.”
Race 2 brought a stronger showing from the young rider. Despite the wet and windy conditions, Aeziah stuck to his plan and delivered a confident performance. “It was a wet and windy race but an awesome one to end the weekend with,” he said. “I had a strong first few laps, pushing hard to stay with the second group and setting a good pace from early on. I made quite a lot of passes on the first lap and started gaining time on the riders ahead.”
By lap three, Aeziah had fought his way into the group battling for seventh, staying with them throughout the race. His determined charge saw him climb six places, reaching tenth by lap eight. Just as the fight was intensifying, another red flag due to rain brought the race to an early end, with final results counted from the previous lap.
Aeziah was officially classified in 12th, a solid result to cap off the weekend. “I am really grateful to the entire Fibre Tec Honda – MLav Racing team for all their support,” he concluded. “The hard work is starting to pay off with another great step forward. Couldn’t do it without you.”
