Aeziah displayed remarkable resilience and determination at Round 5 of the Thruxton Race Circuit, bouncing back from a high-speed crash to set a new personal best and secure a strong finish.

The weekend opened dramatically for Aeziah. During a fast lap in the first practice session, a sudden braking manoeuvre to avoid another rider caused a heavy fall at an estimated 110 mph. Thanks to top-quality safety gear, Aeziah walked away unharmed, later saying, “Thanks to DRC Race Leathers, I walked away without even a scratch after landing hard on my shoulder.”

Undeterred, Aeziah’s team worked tirelessly to rebuild the bike for the second practice. Although a mechanical issue limited track time, Aeziah kept pushing, battling grip problems in qualifying to secure a P22 grid position for race one with a time of 1:25.699.

In race one, Aeziah fought hard to finish 22nd after some close battles. Determined to turn the weekend around, day two brought a major breakthrough. Aeziah improved lap times, dropping into the low 1:24s and finishing 15th in the morning warm-up session.

The final race was where Aeziah truly shone. Starting from 22nd on the grid, he fought through the pack in a fierce multi-rider battle. “I climbed up 9 places at one point to 13th to lead the second group,” Aeziah said. After an intense contest for positions, he crossed the line in 16th, just 0.024 seconds outside of the points-paying top 15.

Reflecting on the weekend, Aeziah remained upbeat: “A massive shout out to the team who went all in to make sure my bike was on point for the races. I set a new PB time, getting into the 1:23s, and learned a lot this weekend.”

The performance marked a challenging but rewarding round for Aeziah, underscoring both his courage on the track and the dedication of his team behind the scenes.
